Our most urgent need! Volunteer to deliver freshly prepared meals and a friendly smile directly to the front door of older adults 60+ who are homebound, frail, and lack adequate mobility or access to groceries. Your service helps to combat the effects of hunger, loneliness, and isolation among eligible seniors which enables them to continue to live independently in their own home. Delivery routes are completed in the morning on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver

TIME COMMITMENT: Commit to multiple weekly meal deliveries for a minimum of 3 months (Average 2-3 hours per week minimum) 

EXPECTATIONS:

• Follow food safety guidelines  
• Good communication skills 

REQUIREMENTS:   

• Complete Volunteer Orientation
• Vehicle in good working condition 
• Proof of Auto Insurance

EXPENSES: The AAA4 has a set mileage reimbursement rate for gas allowances. Volunteers must fill out a Mileage Reimbursement form to receive payment.
