Volunteer

A man delivers food to elderly people at a doorway, all are smiling.
Volunteering with Agency on Aging Area 4 is an opportunity to make valuable personal connections while also improving the lives of aging adults and people with disabilities.

Join the dozens of local volunteers who give their time, talent, and energy to improve the lives of aging adults and people with disabilities across the Sacramento region

Whether you have just a few hours a month or as much as 20 hours a week, we can match you with a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on our aging community. Opportunities range from helping install a garden at a senior center to making a friendly phone call or delivering a freshly prepared meal to a homebound adult — and more!

Aging adults face many challenges brought on by the aging process -- from physical limitations to changes in cognitive function. But they also still have a lot to share. Relationships with people of different ages can bring meaning, joy, and a better world. Volunteering with older adults offers an opportunity to make a valuable personal connection while also improving the lives of aging adults and people with disabilities.
